Testicular biopsy
TESE (testicular sperm extraction) is a technique of sperm retrieval by a small testicle biopsy. TESE comprises a small incision on testicle for removal of material containing spermatozoon. It is indicated in cases of complete absence of spermatozoon in the ejaculate.
MicroTESE (Micro dissection testicular sperm extraction) is a microsurgical technique of sperm retrieval. A microscope is used to improve the retrieval of the material containing the spermatozoon from the testicle. This amendment increases the retrieval of spermatozoon and decreases surgical traumatism. It is indicated in cases of complete absence of spermatozoon in the ejaculate.
