“Assisted Hatching”
Assisted hatching this is another “little help” from science to nature, in this case it is to facilitate the embryo implantation into the uterus (the biggest challenge in assisted reproduction). Sometimes the shell that surrounds the egg is to resistant due to many reasons (as age of the egg and hardening of the shell and the embryo can not hatch. The assisted hatching, thus, is a micro surgery of this embryonic shell that can be done with mechanical or chemical techniques, or even with laser shots. The objective is to open a pathway for the embryo, a small window in the shell.
